Los Lunas Open Space Bosque Preserve

This riverside preserve protects native bosque habitat along the Rio Grande within the Village of Los Lunas. Enjoy peaceful walking trails, bird-watching, and scenic river views beneath cottonwood and willow trees—an ideal spot for nature and wildlife lovers.

Hiking Tips:

  • Stay on designated trails to protect plants and wildlife.

  • The bosque is home to animals, including snakes—give wildlife space and do not disturb them.

  • Keep pets leashed to protect wildlife and other visitors.

  • Bring water and be prepared for changing riverbank conditions.

  • Pack out all trash and leave the bosque clean for others to enjoy.
