External Hiring Process:
Thank you for taking the time to review our employment opportunities. Below is a summary of our hiring process which outlines applicant steps, for your convenience and information.
I. Employment Opportunity Review:
Announcements are posted and updated as employment vacancies occur. Therefore, it is recommended to view our website on a consistent basis for a position of your interest.
The Village, currently, only accepts paper applications. If you are interested in applying you may submit your completed Village application to the Village of Los Lunas Human Resources Division either in person, via e-mail, fax, or traditional mail to the contact information listed below.
To have your application be considered as “complete” you must:
- Complete all sections of application;
- Attach supporting documentation (i.e. copies of transcripts or certifications/trainings) for each degree, certification, or training claimed; and
- Sign the application, confirming you have reviewed the Applicant’s Statement.
You may submit a cover letter and resume, to be considered as part of your completed application. Furthermore, once an application is, you may not make changes; however, if necessary, you may submit a new fully completed application within the announcement dates.
No resumes will be accepted in lieu of a completed application.
No late applications will be reviewed or passed on for consideration or interview.
Once the announcement closes, dates listed on the posting, all completed applications are reviewed and rated. Rated applications are forwarded for a pre-screen interview, subject to position status. During the pre-screen interview, the Village may ask for additional information for clarification or verification purposes.
If selected for an in-person interview, you will be contacted by either phone or email with the date, time, and location details.
