Code Enforcement

The Code Enforcement Division helps to protect the health, welfare and public safety of the Village of Los Lunas by monitoring the Village for Nuisance Code, Health and Safety Code, and Zoning Code violations.  These include:

  • Overgrown weeds
  • Inoperable vehicles
  • Accumulation of rubbish
  • Building within the property setback
  • Building without a permit

The first goal of the Code Enforcement Division is education - If your property is found to have a code violation, we will attempt to notify you and educate you of our Village regulations so that you can voluntarily comply.  Code Enforcement will issue a citation if voluntary compliance can not be achieved, or if the violation is an imminent threat to public safety.

If you have a Code Enforcement complaint to report, you can contact the Community Development Department, or submit a complaint online.
