Parks and Recreation Maintenance (PRM) provides maintenance and repair services for all park buildings and facilities, including administration building, senior center, public library, wellness center, and visitor center. The Facility Maintenance Division of the Parks and Recreation Department administers the PRM operation. Three major elements comprise the responsibilities of the PRM group:
  1. Immediate Response
  2. Periodic preventive maintenance and construction
  3. Long term maintenance and rehabilitation

Most PRM responses are to immediate needs. Day-to-day problems require quick responses to get the resources back into operation for citizen use. Periodic/preventive maintenance is designed to anticipate and prevent likely problems before they occur. Carpentry, electrical, mechanical, lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and hardware are inspected, adjusted, and repaired on a regular schedule to eliminate or reduce the number of emergency repairs. The three elements of the PRM operation cover the entire spectrum of maintenance and repair needs to buildings and facilities located throughout the Village of Los Lunas. PRM is made up of seven important units: administration, warehouse, athletic fields service, recreation maintenance, park maintenance, water use management, and management planning.
