The agencies formed a regional drug task force known as the Valencia County Regional Drug Task Force (VCRDTF). The VCRDTF will be pooling their resources and focusing their drug enforcement investigations in the Valencia County area to include the municipalities, Valencia County and in the Isleta Tribal Nation. The drug task force will be working out of an undisclosed location in Valencia County and is currently up and running.
Chief Melnick stated, “
This is a great opportunity for all area law enforcement agencies to come together in a common goal of reducing drugs in our area on a regional basis. The pooling of our limited resources allows us to work together in the most efficient and effective manner to get the job done.”
