Daniel Fernandez Youth Center (DFYC) is a public recreation facility located inside Daniel Fernandez Memorial Park.  DFYC houses a gymnasium, fitness center, aerobics room, conference room, and offices. DFYC charges $2 per day to use its facilities with no membership fees. To use our facility you can do one of two things:

Daniel Fernandez Youth Center Schedule of Classes

Our Fitness Center includes one bench press, two smith machines, leg extension attachments, cable crossover, leg press, assortment of Curl bars and dumb bells.

For the cardio lover we now offer four treadmills, two ellipticals, and one stationary bicycle. An assortment of hydraulic equipment (similar to Curves) to work your entire core is also available. Certified fitness trainers are on hand to handle any questions that you have about your workout.

We provide a variety of Aerobics classes Monday - Saturday, mornings and evenings. We have certified instructors during every session. Aerobic equipment is available to use during your workout

Schedule of Classes 

*Due to gym shortages open gym will only take place on half of the court. Teams will still be able to play a fullcourt game using the two side baskets.

Play basketball on two separate courts every Thursday night from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. There are youth and adult courts so both are able to get sufficient playing time. Games go to 15 and winner stays on the court.

*The gym is open during regular work hours to anyone who wants to play basketball or walk around the gym.

Interested in running your own tournament or need space for an upcoming sporting event? The Sports & Fitness Department has facilities to accommodate your needs: Softball Fields (lights), Sand Volleyball Courts (lights), Basketball Courts, Indoor Volleyball Courts, Soccer Fields, Horseshoe Pits (lights), Football fields, Baseball fields (lights), & Tennis Courts (lights).
