The Village of Los Lunas will be accepting applications for local youths & 2 supervisors to work for the Summer Youth Employment Program sponsored by the “The Village of Los Lunas.” There will be one session for a period of 4 weeks. This session is scheduled to run between July 5-29. 2016. Orientation Day will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 2:00p.m. in the Village of Los Lunas Council Chambers located at 660 Main Street NW.
Employment will consist of outdoor environment (cutting weeds, picking up trash and some landscaping).
The students must meet the following requirements if hired:Residents of the Village of Los Lunas preferred, but not required and enrolled in a public or private school (proof is required).
Must be 14 to 19 years of age (students ages 14-15 must get a work permit). Arrangements will be made to obtain your work permit at Orientation if you are hired.
You must present a Social Security Card & School ID at Orientation if hired.
If you need to get a work permit, you must be accompanied by one of your parents on Orientation Day. Karen Wolfe from LL Schools will be available at Orientation to issue work permits to those who need them.
Students will be selected for hire at the June 23rd Village Council meeting.
Applications may be picked up at the Village of Los Lunas Administration Office, 660 Main Street NW., Los Lunas, NM 87031 beginning on April 4, 2016 for both the youth & supervisors and must be received by Community Development Department no later than June 10th, by 4:00 p.m..
